Dr’s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish

Dr’s remedy, new in our clinic and already proving very popular, is an enriched Nail Polish with a blend of naturally occurring, non-toxic, nourishing ingredients including wheat protein, tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract, lavender and vitamins C&E.

It is free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, parabens, and phthalates—chemicals that weaken, dry and discolour your nails.  Dr’s Remedy is formulated by U.S. Doctors of Podiatriatric Medicine, and is the only nail polish to receive the American Podiatric Medical Association seal of approval.  It is not tested on animals.

We stock the full range of around 50 colours, base coats, top coats, hydration treatment, cuticle treatment and nail polish remover.  The colour with top-coat will last up to one week on hands and 2-3 weeks on feet, though we recommend patients change their polish every 10 days and go polish free for a few days before re-applying.

Some natural products which we use in the clinic, and which are available to buy

London Balms are Podiatrist formulated balms based on Shia butter sourced directly from the African villages where it is grown, blended with organic Olive oil.  TeaTree, lemon and Bergamont  give a lovely fresh fragrance.  This balm is more easily absorbed than our other pure foot oils but still needs a circulation-stimulating massage to warm it and help it soak in.  It is now the best selling skin treatment in our clinic.

Organic Trevano balms and lotions for skin and nail-care, and massage.  Rosemary is now know and Revitalising.  It is good for warming the muscles, and has a stimulating smell.  Propolis is now called Restorative, and it is naturally antiseptic and beneficial to skin that has a tendency to cracking or soreness.  Calendula is now called Nourishing, and is good for calming irritated skin.  Requiring extra massage, these balms go a long way and the massage is very healthy for the skin, muscles, nails and circulation.Cocobutter lotion is a rich, luxurious moisturiser that has a lovely smell.

A range of comfortable socks, leather insoles and other items that help your feet including

Liquacare Diabetic Insoles designed to relieve pressure points specifically with Diabetic feet in mind, have been clinically proven to reduce the incidence of foot ulcers.  Channels in the insole control the flow of a liquid gel, and as the foot moves over it, this causes in a pleasant massaging effect that improves circulation and stimulates the sole of the foot.  The result is improved stability and reduced pressure points in both diabetics and non-diabetcs alike.

Dr Comfort Socks are very popular for their softness and the gentle pressure that reduces the weight of swollen ankles

Products used in conjunction with certain treatments

Lamisil spray as part of PACT Light Therapy treatment of fungal nail infections, and Lamisil Gel or Lamisil Once for supporting athletes foot treatments.

PACT Urea Cream can be used as a stand-alone treatment for mild fungal infected nails, though we often use it to enhance PACT Light Therapy treatments done in the clinic.

Mycored Oil for strengthening nails also has a mild anti fungal ingredient, and prior to PACT we found it the most used product for controlling fungal infection and improving the appearance of toe-nails.

Bazooka can be used stand-alone, but is probably best used in conjunction with Verruca treatments at the clinic.
